One of New York City’s premier law firms is seeking an Immigration Paralegal to support both corporate and individual clients with non-immigrant and immigrant visa matters. Who You’ll Thrive In This Role If You Have:
- A Bachelor’s degree, ideally in a writing- or communication-focused field
- Previous experience in an Immigration Paralegal role (min. 3 years)
- Experience with business-based and/or family-based immigration (preferred, not required)
- Exceptional writing and editing skills, particularly for complex legal support letters
- (Writing sample required with application)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and computer-assisted legal research tools
- The ability to manage multiple high-volume priorities in a fast-paced environment
- A professional, cooperative, flexible, and positive attitude
What You’ll Do:
As an Immigration Paralegal, you will play a key role in preparing a wide range of immigration petitions, including:
- Business-based non-immigrant visas (H-1B, L-1, TN, E, O-1)
- Employment-based and family-based immigrant petitions
Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing high-volume corporate client accounts and working directly with clients to deliver comprehensive immigration services
- Preparing immigration forms and assembling supporting documentation
- Drafting detailed and persuasive legal support letters and arguments
- Reviewing immigration regulations and applying them to diverse case scenarios
- Conducting research using government agencies and immigration research tools
- Maintaining accurate case records and entering data into the firm’s case management system
- Prioritizing workload, meeting deadlines, and problem-solving in a fast-paced office environment
