Job Description
THE ROLE: This role will report to the Regional CFO on Finance related activities as appropriate. The Assistant Finance Manager is responsible for local finance matters of the Hong Kong office.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Check and approve all payments prior to getting bank signatories' approval
- Maintain cash register and daily cash requirement (if any)
- Manage the fixed assets register
- Responsible for monthly input, review and approval of transactions into financial system (including AP, AR, Cash Applied, Accruals, Payroll, Taxes, etc.)
- Process inter-company transactions and reconciliations
- Close the month end financial results in accordance with firm’s closing calendar
- Prepare monthly financial statements, such as P&L account and balance sheet on both cash & accrual basis
- Prepare monthly P&L variance report and balance sheet reconciliation
- Prepare month reconciliation between cash book and accrual book
- Manage cash flow, update monthly cash flow forecast, and request monthly operation funding from headquarter if needed
- Review invoice before sending out to client
- Responsible for monitoring and collection of local accounts receivable, closely follow up with clients regarding overdue invoices
- Manage annual audit, AGM filing, tax computation and filing
- Reporting to government bodies
- Prepare annual budget and forecast
- Ensure adherence to all control policies and procedures
- Work closely with and provide support to local business team
- Other duties as assigned
Let’s talk if you have the following qualifications and experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance/Accounting
- Proficient and demonstrate knowledge in Hong Kong GAAP and US GAAP
- At least 5 years of relevant accounting/finance experience
- Preferably with experience working for a multinational or global organisation
- Strong client service mentality
- Strong analytical and judgement skills
- Proficiency in MS Office is a must
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and in teams
