We are seeking an organized and detail-oriented Immigration Paralegal to join our dynamic legal team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in legal administration and a passion for immigration law. This role involves assisting attorneys with various immigration-related cases, conducting interviews, and managing documentation to ensure compliance with legal standards.
Duties
- Assist attorneys in preparing and filing immigration petitions and applications.
- Conduct client interviews to gather necessary information and documentation.
- Manage case files using document management systems to ensure all records are accurate and up-to-date.
- Research relevant immigration laws and regulations, including tribal law regulations.
- Draft legal documents and correspondence related to immigration cases.
- Maintain effective communication with clients, providing updates on case progress while demonstrating excellent phone etiquette.
- Collaborate with other legal professionals on matters related to estate planning, workers compensation law, and securities law as needed.
Experience
- Previous experience in a law office or legal administrative role is preferred.
- Familiarity with Westlaw or similar legal research tools is a plus.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, particularly in interviewing clients.
- Knowledge of immigration processes and regulations is highly desirable.
