Position Overview
The Immigration Paralegal will assist attorneys in the preparation and submission of various immigration applications and petitions. The role involves ensuring compliance with immigration laws and regulations while providing support to clients throughout the immigration process.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation of immigration applications and petitions.
- Conduct legal research on immigration laws and policies to support case preparation.
- Prepare and organize case files, ensuring all documents are complete and accurate.
- Communicate with clients to gather necessary information and keep them updated on their case status.
- Coordinate with government agencies and monitor the status of applications and petitions.
- Assist in business immigration cases, including employer compliance.
- Draft correspondence and legal documents as needed for litigation and other immigration-related matters.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in paralegal studies, law, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in immigration law or as a paralegal.
- Strong knowledge of immigration processes, applications, and relevant laws.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in legal research tools and Microsoft Office Suite.
