Job title:- Immigration & Relocation Specialist
Location: Greensboro, NC 27409
Duration:- 6 Months
Pay rate: $22 to $24.50/hr (depending on the exp)
Human Resources Operations
Supports the Immigration & Global Mobility Lead with the activities for all US -based immigration that includes overview of H-1B processes, case management for L-1, TN, E-3, O visas, plus Perm Transfers, International Long Term, STA and EBT assignments. Also supports the process for Corporate Relocation.
● Communicates with foreign national employees and line managers, escalating potential risks, delays, budget impacting expenditures, and other relevant items to offer support to HR Business Partners
● Address relocation/. questions or issues with vendor-related services to reduce disruption to the employee during a stressful time
● Work with the external immigration law firm and facilitate case management activities to support information needs and complexities.
● Support Talent Acquisition on candidate evaluation for immigration-related dependencies
● Support HR Business Partners, Talent Acquisition, and HR Operations on basic immigration watchouts for day-to-day operational process alignment (review of legal name usage, residency reporting, offer letter review, I-9, etc.)
● Support business budgeting for immigration and relocation activities with high-level estimates and maintain positive purchase order balances, communicating and providing back-up justification to cost center managers
● Coordinate travel between relocation provider and corporate travel, as needed
● Coordinate miscellaneous expense calculation with Payroll and relocation provider
Knowledge and Skills
● Detail-oriented, agile, and organized; comfortable with last minute changes
● Ability to communicate clearly and concisely to employees and line managers at all levels in the organization; comfortable communicating with senior leaders on complex matters; know when to elevate matters
● Working knowledge and understanding of employment laws and HR principles
● Able to have an empathetic approach when communicating
● Ability to keep processes moving in order to respond to deadlines consistently
● Ability to strategize and anticipate future actions and consequences
Requirements
● Must have working knowledge of corporate US immigration law
● Experience with corporate relocation processes
Education
Bachelor’s degree or paralegal experience
