Job Description: Job Summary
Perform a variety of routine paralegal duties for assigned Attorneys, including assistance with review and preparation of legal documents, management of various projects, and initiative to complete tasks with minimal supervision or direction
This Paralegal will support the Labor and Employment Legal Team, where they'll assist our Team in responding to government charges, preparing for and presenting labor arbitrations, and coordinating with outside counsel to manage employment litigation. This role will play an important part in protecting Southwest.

Responsibilities
Provide general paralegal support, including file management, word processing, coordinating intra-office and external correspondence, intake of notices, and coordination of follow-up action
Under the supervision of an attorney, review, revise, and draft legal documents and correspondence
Facilitate the processing of documents to obtain the required authorized signatures
Work on projects and perform legal research on various topics as assigned
Gather, save, review, summarize, and organize documents, contracts, and emails in document management system
Track and report on the status of assigned projects
Serve as a liaison for client contacts, law firms, vendors, and other parties on legal matters
Collaborate with Legal Department colleagues on a variety of legal and regulatory issues
Perform other job duties as directed by Employee’s Leaders
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Knowledge of MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook) software
Skilled in organization with attention to detail and ability to accomplish multiple tasks to meet deadlines
Skilled in excellent verbal and written communication
Ability to be self-motivated; work both independently to complete tasks and respond to requests as well as collaborate with others to utilize resources and knowledge of others
Strong ability to follow up on pending items, track project progress and stay current on project status and milestones
Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with professionalism and discretion Education
Required: High School Diploma or GED
Experience
Intermediate level experience, fully functioning broad knowledge in related work and/or training
Preferred experience in Arbitration, EEOC or Government charges
Physical Abilities
Ability to perform work duties from work station/desk/office area for extended periods of time
Ability to communicate and interact with others in the English language to meet the demands of the job
Ability to use a computer and other office productivity tools with sufficient speed and accuracy to meet the demands of the job
Other Qualifications
Must maintain a well-groomed appearance per Company appearance standards as described in established guidelines
Must be a U.S. citizen or have authorization to work in the United States as defined by the Immigration Reform Act of 1986
Must be at least 18 years of age
Must be able to comply with Company attendance standards as described in established guidelines
Must be able to work a flexible schedule to include some non-business days and hours as needed to meet client needs
Ability to travel when needed for the position
Pay & Benefits:
Competitive market salary from $ $82,800 per year to $92,000 per year* depending on qualifications and experience. For eligible Leadership and individual contributor roles, additional bonus opportunities are available and awarded at the discretion of the company.
