Position: Immigration Legal Assistant.
A dedicated and reliable courier/legal assistant to support our busy immigration law firm in Long Island City. This role involves a variety of tasks, including document delivery, filing, and client communication. You will be a crucial part of our team, ensuring the efficient operation of our office and providing excellent support to our attorneys and clients.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver legal documents, including applications, petitions, and legal notices, to clients, court locations, and government agencies.
- Maintain meticulous records of all document deliveries, including dates, times, and recipient information.
- Ensure the secure handling and confidentiality of all documents.
- Assist in the preparation and organization of legal documents and other office tasks as assigned by supervisors.
Requirements:
- Education (Required): High School Diploma or equivalent
- Reliable Transporation (e.g. Public Transportation)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
