Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Legal Assistant to join our dynamic legal team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting attorneys with various tasks related to case management, research, and documentation. This position requires strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects effectively while ensuring compliance with legal standards.

Duties

Assist attorneys in preparing for trials by organizing case files and evidence.
Conduct legal research and write summaries of findings to support case strategies.
Interview clients and witnesses to gather relevant information for cases.
Transcribe legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and correspondence.
Manage legal case files, ensuring all documents are accurately filed and maintained.
Support project management tasks related to ongoing litigation or immigration cases.
Collaborate with team members on workers' compensation law matters and other areas of practice.
Maintain communication with clients regarding case updates and scheduling.

Requirements

Proven experience as a Legal Assistant or in a similar role within a law firm or legal department.
Strong understanding of legal terminology, procedures, and documentation requirements.
Familiarity with workers' compensation law and immigration law is preferred but not mandatory.
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
Proficient in writing clear and concise documents, as well as conducting thorough research.
Strong interviewing skills to effectively gather information from clients and witnesses.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
Proficiency in legal case management software is a plus.
