The Global Mobility and Immigration, Sr. Specialist will manage and execute global Talent Mobility and Immigration programs, ensuring seamless employee transitions across international and domestic mobility services. This role involves assessing immigration needs, initiating work authorizations, managing visa renewals, and handling de-registrations through partnerships with internal teams and third-party providers. The ideal candidate will provide strategic immigration support, ensuring compliance with global employment laws while enhancing the employee experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee global immigration processes, including obtaining work authorizations, renewals, and de-registrations.
- Ensure compliance with immigration laws, corporate policies, and local labor regulations.
- Manage ServiceNow cases for immigration service initiation and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Analyze immigration data, generate reports, and identify process improvements.
- Provide back-up support for the Americas Talent Mobility team.
- Assess and process immigration cases within EU and APAC regions.
- Maintain and update Workday records, tracking visa expirations and work authorization status.
- Liaise with external legal counsel and government agencies for compliance and policy updates.
- Partner with HR, Talent Acquisition, and internal stakeholders to support employee relocations, visa sponsorships, and compliance needs.
Key Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in Global Mobility, Immigration Services, or HR Operations.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field (Advanced degree preferred).
- Strong knowledge of global immigration policies, work authorization, and visa application processes.
- Experience working with HRIS platforms such as Workday and ServiceNow.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint) with advanced Excel skills preferred.
- Ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously and provide strategic immigration consultation.
- Exceptional problem-solving, organizational, and customer service skills in a fast-paced, global environment.
- Certification in Worldwide ERC (Employee Relocation Council) and/or Global Mobility Specialist (GMS) is highly preferred.
- Experience in a highly matrixed corporate environment, collaborating with legal teams, HR, and business leaders.
- Strong understanding of international employment regulations and corporate immigration strategies.
