GOVERNMENT CONTRACTS FINANCE COORDINATOR

Job Location: Fully remote
Salary: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour based on experience
Schedule: Full time, 40 hours per week. Exact schedule determined pre-hire. The majority of hours must be worked during business hours 10:00 AM - 6:00PM Mon-Fri.
Duration: Permanent position

Position Description
The Government Contracts Finance Coordinator works under the direction of the Finance Director to ensure timely processing of accounts receivable for federal, state, and local grants. This includes but may not be limited to preparing and submitting monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports and vouchers.
Duties
- Work with the other members of the finance team to ensure that all receipts are properly documented and allocated in QuickBooks
- Ensure federal, state, and local government funding is expended for the stated purposes and in compliance with federal, state, and local laws.
- Prepare financial reports and voucher requests for submission to federal, state, and local government agencies.
- Track grant receivables and follow up with government agencies regarding pending payment requests.
Position Requirements
● 1-2 experience strongly preferred
● Computer skills: scanning, retrieving and uploading scanned files.
● Math beyond basic computation. Ability to work with Algebra-based Excel formulas.
● Excel, including a basic knowledge of formulas
● Basic knowledge of Quickbooks or similar accounting software
● Adobe, including converting images to PDF, editing PDF, and digital signing
● Detail oriented. Ability to check calculations and inventory with low incidence of error.
● Organized. Keep detailed procedural notes and repeat monthly processes independently
● Confidential and discreet. Ability to sign and abide by a NDA concerning all company and personal financial information encountered
