Position: Immigration Specialist (Hybrid)
Location: St. Petersburg, FL (Hybrid position: 8-10 times per month in office, remainder remote)
Job Type: Contract with strong potential for conversion to full-time employee
Requirements:
- Laptop and scanner/printer required
- Minimum 3 years of experience as an Immigration Specialist
- Strong knowledge of immigration visas: F1, H1B, H4, L1, TN, PERM, Green Card
- I-9 reverification experience required
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
- WorkDay System experience preferred
- Minimum of a high school diploma (college preferred)
Job Responsibilities:
- Act as liaison between third-party legal, HR, recruiting, managers, candidates, and employees requiring immigration sponsorship
- Coordinate immigration petition processes (H, L, TN nonimmigrant petitions, employment-based immigrant petitions, etc.)
- Oversee PERM processing and ensure compliance with recruitment and posting requirements
- Assist with preparation of responses to requests for evidence (RFE’s) for H1B, H4, H4 EAD’s, PERM, and L-1 petitions
- Organize and maintain immigration compliance records, including quality control and Public Access Files
- Assist with visa coordination for intra-company transfers and relocations (domestic and international)
- Support I-9 reverification for foreign nationals
- Update and maintain databases for US and international immigration
- Provide regular reporting on immigration metrics and support ad-hoc projects
- Stay updated on immigration regulations and policies
- Provide documentation requirements for foreign national visa stamping
- Liaise with Department of Homeland Security on H1B audits and with Department of Labor for PERM audits
- Review immigration procedures and the legal status of foreign national employees
- Develop and implement immigration education programs
- Collaborate with outside counsel on case strategies and petitions
