Senior Family Immigration Paralegal

Solano Law Firm is seeking Spanish-speaking Immigration Paralegal candidates to join our team. You will provide overall support to the Attorneys within the Firm.

Compensation:

$45,000 - $65,000 yearly

Responsibilities:

Take care of administrative tasks such as answering phones and maintaining an organized filing system for all legal documents
Help lawyers prepare for trial by preparing and organizing exhibits, assisting with client meetings, filing motions, conducting research on legal articles, and organizing and coordinating witnesses
Hold client interviews to gather information about their legal problems
Draft legal documents, pleadings, and correspondence such as interrogatories, subpoenas, deposition notices, complaints, pretrial orders, legal briefs, and affidavits under the guidance of a lawyer
Draft subpoenas and coordinate with process servers

Qualifications:

A Bachelor’s degree in Paralegal Studies and/or a Certification as a trained paralegal with 3+ experience
Previous experience as a paralegal with a family immigration law firm
Fully bilingual in English and Spanish (speaking, reading, and writing)
Proficient in Microsoft Office software
Experience with common immigration client management/forms software such as Law Logix, INSZoom, EImmigration, Immigration Tracker
Personal qualities: Highly motivated, organized, empathetic, and works well under pressure
