Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Immigration Paralegal to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in legal administration, particularly in immigration law, and will be responsible for supporting attorneys in the preparation and management of immigration cases. This role requires excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively under pressure.

Responsibilities

Assist attorneys with the preparation of immigration petitions and applications.
Conduct thorough document review to ensure accuracy and compliance with legal standards.
Perform legal research related to immigration law and procedures.
Draft correspondence, legal documents, and reports as needed.
Maintain organized case files and documentation using PCLaw software.
Proofread documents for clarity, grammar, and adherence to legal formatting.
Communicate with clients regarding their cases, providing updates and gathering necessary information.
File documents with appropriate government agencies in a timely manner.
Collaborate with team members to streamline processes and improve efficiency.

Qualifications

Proven experience as a Paralegal or in a similar legal administrative role, preferably in immigration law.
Proficiency in PCLaw or similar case management software is highly desirable.
Strong writing skills with the ability to draft clear and concise legal documents.
Excellent research skills with a solid understanding of immigration processes.
Detail-oriented with exceptional proofreading abilities to ensure accuracy in all documentation.
Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
Strong interpersonal skills for effective communication with clients and team members.
A background or coursework in estate planning is a plus but not required.
