Landau, Hess, Simon, Choi & Doebley seeks an employment-based Legal Assistant to join our growing team. Candidates should be detail-oriented, have strong writing, organizational, computer and people skills plus a desire to work with and help immigrants.

This position would primarily be responsible for employment-based temporary and permanent visa processing, including H-1B specialty occupation petitions and PERM labor certification applications. Day-to-day duties include:

Working closely with employers and their professional foreign national employees as they seek to navigate the employment-based immigration landscape
Document review and case strategizing
Preparing forms and documents for submission to government agencies
Drafting letters and similar documents for client and attorney review
Organizing digital and physical files
Maintaining client data and case files
Direct client interaction via email and phone

Position requires:

Bachelor’s degree
Experience in employment-based immigration, including direct client contact (preferred)
Familiarity with MS Office Suite, including Excel, Teams and SharePoint
Experience with immigration software a plus
