The Immigration Consultant will work on immigration-related issues such as completing Citizenship Applications, Permanent Residence, Provisional Waivers, etc., under the supervision of a legal specialist; the assistant will conduct research, prepare documents, and complete pending forms, along with clerical work. As well as being a citizenship instructor when needed.

QUALIFICATIONS: The selected applicant must be bilingual in English and Spanish as well as develop the sensitivity and skills to work with low-income Spanish-speaking immigrants. Likewise, the qualified applicant must have good writing and communication skills, including the ability to interact with people from diverse levels of education and socioeconomic backgrounds. A desirable might also have experience with customer service.

PURPOSE: Hermandad Mexicana Nacional is a non-profit immigration and services organization. The Board of Immigration Appeals recognizes the organization and the personnel is accredited. We provide low-cost services for immigrants seeking citizenship, renewal of Permanent Residence, petitions, Deferred Action, and other vital immigration services. The assistant will provide much-needed aid to specialists when completing forms.
