At Brooks Law Firm, we take pride in providing exceptional legal services to immigrant communities, especially those of Brazilian and Hispanic descent. As we expand, we need someone to help drive the sales of our immigration services and enhance our clients' experience.

Job Summary
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Brazilian Portuguese-speaking Legal Assistant to join our USCIS team in the immigration department. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in managing USCIS application processes, supporting case management, and ensuring smooth communication with clients. The Legal Assistant will utilize their strong administrative skills and legal knowledge to facilitate efficient case processing and client service.

Responsibilities

Conduct client communications to gather relevant case information, supporting documents, and relevant case information with professionalism and excellent phone etiquette.
Manage client information through our CMS, FileVine (training is provided).
Generate USCIS applications and documentation through MyUSCIS, DocketWise, and Google Docs (training is provided).
Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information while adhering to SOPs provided in our various software platforms.

Qualifications

Fluent/Conversational in Portuguese; Fluent English skills.
Legal assistant or Paralegal experience or prior legal administrative experience preferred, but not required.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with professional customer-service etiquette.
Ability to handle sensitive information discreetly while maintaining high levels of empathy in helping our clientele.
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail; ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
Previous clerical or administrative experience in a law office setting is preferred, but not required.
