About us

I am a solo attorney practing Immigration law for over 9 years. I recently opened my own office and rapidly growing. We handle lots of several types of immigration work including representation at the Miami Immigration court and ICE detention centers in South Florida.

Responsibilities:
- Assist attorney in preparing legal documents such as pleadings, motions, and briefs
- Organize and maintain legal files and documents
- Prepare correspondence and communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel
- Schedule appointments, answer phones, take payments
- Prepare translations from Spanish to English, create cover letters, put together documents, etc.
- Manage calendars and deadlines for multiple cases
- Assist with mailing, scanning, etc

Skills:
- MUST BE BILINGUAL (Spanish)

- Proficient in data entry and clerical tasks to maintain accurate records
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and prioritize workload effectively
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to interact professionally with clients and colleagues
- Familiarity with legal terminology and procedures to assist with case management
- Ability to use Docketwise or similar software to manage cases
- Attention to detail to ensure accuracy in document preparation and transcription
- Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Sharepoint) for document creation and email communication

- Proficient in using PDF Pro to rearrange pages, add page numbers, merging files, etc
- Knowledge of phone etiquette to handle incoming calls professionally

-Must be familiar with apple computers

Note: Prior experience as a Legal Assistant or Paralegal is preferred but not required. College degree preferred. Please do not apply if you have limited English.
